IMPORTANT:

It is not recommended any acrylic mirror product is used as a direct replacement for glass mirrors.
Due to the nature of the product acrylic mirrors can reflect a distorted reflection in any mirror size and is more prominent with larger pieces as the material is more flexible.
Using a thicker acrylic mirror such as our 5mm or 6mm mirrored acrylic can help reduce distortion as the material is more rigid compared to the 3mm sheets.
It is the manufacturers recommendation that the acrylic mirror is affixed to a solid material such as mdf or plywood before installing to the wall or surface required. This is to help ensure the mirror is sitting flat and even to help reduce a distorted mirror reflection.
As the acrylic mirror is not sold as a direct replacement to glass, any manufacturers recommendations for installation do not guarantee a distortion free image but by employing such methods can help reduce the distortion.
As with any mirror. acrylic mirrors should not be kept in any place where they can concentrate the suns rays causing any nearby object to set fire.
Acrylic as a product can be used outside and is used for external signage. However acrylic mirror is acrylic with a mirror foil backing and a paint protection over it. Due to this if used externally water ingress will happen between the foil & the sheet but I would not be able to specify a specific time for this to happen. Ultimately it would need to have edges protected and sealed or in a frame where the foil back and edges are protected from the elements should you decide for the mirrors to be used outdoors. We are unable to provide any warranties should this be used externally.
It is NOT recommended to use any tapes including masking tape for marking of holes on the reverse of the sheet. This is because once you attempt to remove the masking tape, this can potentailly remove the mirror foiling surface. Therefore, it is recommended to use any masking tape on the front side of the sheet only, on top of the protective film for the marking of holes.
Only adhesives specifically suitable for acrylic mirrors are suitable for installation. Do NOT use adhesives such as "no nails" as this will damage and attack the mirror surfacing. Any damage caused to the reverse of the sheet will cause the mirror foiling to peel.
