UK Delivery Rates
Sign Materials Direct aim to dispatch all items ordered and paid for before 5pm the same working day and all orders placed over the weekend on Monday before 5pm ( subject to stock availability). For cut to size and special orders, we aim to dispatch all items ordered and paid for before 3pm the same working day (subject to stock availability and cutting requirements)
Depending on your delivery address, Sign Materials Direct offer different delivery options. Orders will be delivered either by road courier ("signed for" service) or Royal Mail for smaller items.
For all large items, deliveries are made via our own dedicated logistics specialist to ensure a prompt and safe delivery of your order.
UK Mainland Delivery
Deliveries are made Monday - Friday, between 8am - 6pm. We have two service options which can be selected at the checkout:

Orders weighing less than 1KG only:
2-5 Day Royal Mail Service (UK Mainland & Highlands & Islands) = £2.99 inc. VAT
UK Mainland Express Delivery 1-2 Day = £10.00 inc. VAT

Orders weighing more than 1KG - 25KG:
UK Mainland Standard Delivery 2-3 Working Day = £10.00 inc. VAT
UK Mainland Express Delivery Next Working Day = £20.00 inc. VAT

UK Mainland Express Delivery Next Working Day = £30.00 inc. VAT
UK Highlands and Islands
For orders to Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man, the Isle of Wight, Isle of Scilly, all other Scottish Islands and the following Scottish highlands post codes; (IV3-IV40), (IV52-IV54) and (IV63), (KW1-KW14), (PA20-PA40), (PH19-PH40) and (PH50).

Please note:

Couriers may occasionally mis-sort or misroute a delivery which can cause a slight delivery delay. If your order is delayed for any reason due to courier error we will put any additional details on the consignment to aid delivery, but Sign Materials Direct will not refund the original delivery charge.

Orders placed after 5pm on Friday and before 5pm on Monday will be dispatched on Monday.

If nobody is at your address and available to sign for your parcel, it may be left with a neighbour or on your property at your own risk. This should be specified in the "Order Instructions" box during checkout. The courier cannot and will not seek proof of identification from the person signing for your parcel(s) and neither will Sign Materials Direct.
Failed Delivery Charges
Following any unsuccessful delivery attempts by the courier, your order will be returned to our warehouse. The courier will charge a return charge of £15 for doing so and the cost will be passed on to you and you will be charged for a re-delivery. It is important therefore that you make arrangements to receive the first delivery or specifiy delivery instructions in the "Order Instructions" box during checkout.
Redirecting Deliveries
If after an item has been dispatched, the customer requires their order to be redirected to an alternative address, other than the address originally stated on their order form, a redelivery charge will have to be made to Sign Materials Direct before this can be processed. This charge also applies if a customer has accidentally entered the incorrect address for their delivery information and the order has been dispatched. If the new address is in the same area, the charge still applies. If the customer does not pay the redirection charge, the order will be returned back to our warehouse and refunded minus a return charge of £15 and the original delivery charge.
Leaving Items Safe and Unsigned For
Sign Materials Direct offer the option for customers to leave additional delivery information when placing an order. Customers are able to request a neighbour to sign for an item, or for the driver to leave an item on the property. Please note the courier driver will not leave the item if the customer simply leaves a message on their front door. The courier driver is only able to leave the item unsigned for if this has been requested by the sender. Sign Materials Direct also ask customers to note, that if an item is left safe on the customer's request and subsequently goes missing or is damaged, the customer is liable for this and not Sign Materials Direct.
Claims for damaged or defected goods
We ask that goods are inspected on delivery of your order before signing. Goods should be signed as "damaged" or un-checked with the courier if you are unable to check goods at time of delivery. You must notify us within 36 hours of delivery of any alleged defect, shortage in quantity, damage or failure to comply with description or sample.
