To produce a machine that cuts perfectly on day one is one thing, to produce one that maintains the ‘Shear Point’ as the machine is used and as the blade wears, is another challenge altogether. Considerable effort during the blade design and manufacture process has been undertaken to ensure that the cut quality remains consistently precise through the life of the blades.
At the very centre of this ‘Design Philosophy’ and absolutely key to the performance of every machine are the exceptionally high quality blades. The Professional M Series blades are made from a heavy duty, hardened Sheffield tungsten steel, which can be manufactured to extremely tight tolerances while also offering excellent longevity.
The flat blade is designed to last the lifetime of the machine and while the self sharpening rotary blade will wear over time, you should expect 10 - 15 years life under normal use.
Accuracy, precision and flexibility
The intrinsic partnership between these precision engineered blades, which have been designed in combination to ensure the perfect ‘shear point’, results in a cut quality that is unrivalled in a rotary trimmer.
This allows the Professional M Series not only to cut with absolute precision but also ensures that the machine can cut off the thinnest slivers of material with ease. It also enables the machine to cut a wide variety of materials from the thinnest of tissue paper, through to thick mount board with absolutely no adjustment to the machine.
All of this adds further to the overall flexibility and ease of use offered by all Rotatrim machines.
Quality
Not all rotary trimmers are created equal
Every Professional M Series machine is hand built to exacting standards by a team of highly skilled engineers. Rotatrim’s ISO9001:2008 quality procedures ensures, that at every stage of manufacture, the product is checked for quality, accuracy and consistency.
Through the experience of building many thousands of machines, each of the engineers is able to tell if a machine is operating perfectly, just from the sound it makes when cutting. Rotatrim would welcome a visit to the our facilities, by any existing or potential customer, where you can see for yourself the; professionalism, attention to detail and ‘care’ that is put into every machine.
More than the sum of its parts
Every component has been carefully designed or selected to ensure that it offers optimal performance as part of the overall machine. From the incredibly tight tollercances to the exacting standards of quality demanded of every part, nothing is left to chance.
Exceptional quality is not only a requirement, it is an expectation and it is only by controlling every aspect of design, component procurement and manufacture, that these incredibly high standards can be assured.
The aim of building the best possible trimmer using only the highest quality components of which we can be proud, remains as the focus of everything we do at Rotatrim
Ease of Use & Robustness
With safety built-in and so easy to operate, it's childsplay...
The almost fully enclosed cutting head design, ensures that the Professional M Series is extremely safe to use, so much so that many 100,000's are put to the test, day in, day out, in schools and colleges throughout the UK.
Making the perfect cut is as simple as placing the work against the square side rule, lining up the edge to be cut with the flatblade and then running the cutting head across the work.
The clear plastic clampstrip, gridded baseboard and cursor for repeat cutting, all help to ensure that maximum throughput can be achieved with the minimum of effort.
Precision - Today, tomorrow, for a lifetime
You can buy an ordinary trimmer, or you can invest in a Rotatrim. For over 45 years, every Professional M Series has been designed and built to last a lifetime. Many trimmers are still in daily use after 20, 30 or even 40 years since they made their first cut.
The use of a heavy duty melamine coated MDF baseboard, all metal head and end frames, chome plated guide rails and Sheffield Steel blades, every component has been selected not only for its suitability, quaility and precison but also for its longevity.
This is why we are confident in stating that, if looked after the Professional M Series, will last a lifetime.
Flexibility
All Professional M Series will cut far more than just paper, with no adjustment...
